Dr. Tiah Abdul-Kabiru Mahama secured a decisive victory in the tightly contested NPP Parliamentary Primaries held in Walewale, the capital of the West Mamprusi Municipal in the North East Region.
Educated at Hiroshima University, Dr. Tiah Abdul-Kabiru Mahama triumphed over the incumbent Member of Parliament and Ghana’s Minister for Gender, Children, and Social Protection Hon. Lariba Abudu in a hotly contested race.
His election has been applauded and warmly welcomed by many young voters in the constituency. Dr. Tiah Abdul-Kabiru Mahama is now poised to face Hon. Abubakari Abdullah, the former Northern Regional Minister, who is running for the second time on the ticket of the main opposition party, the NDC, after an initial unsuccessful attempt.
