It’s really so disheartening to hear such unpalatable news that the Taadi kidnapped girls are finally confirmed dead. I’m sure by now most or even all the citizens in the country are in a state of melancholy because of this. Others are even calling for the head of the CID Boss. It’s really a sad moment for us as citizens of this country. For this nefarious act, is alien to our motherland.
For a moment, I also thought of going or agreeing with the general public that the head of the CID Boss should be cut or in other words, she should resign. But I had some reservations, which made me to relinquish my earlier thought: (1) What if the CID Boss didn’t utter those statements out of her own will, but was forced by someone to do it for political reasons?
(2) What if she meant good? That is to calm the nerves of the family and the tension that was in the country by then.
(3) If she resigns, will that solve the problem that, the girls are gone forever?
These three important questions above prompted me to have a second thought.
In as much as we are in grief, we must find lasting solutions to this problems rather than ranting and complaining always. We must restructure, retool and reequip our security men and women to be able to combat such cases when they befall us in the future.
My condolences to the family of the victims and Ghanaians at large. May God save this country from wicked people. God bless Ghana.
